Instructors Whitney Lew James and Kayla A. Sparks
July 9-13, 2018 (9:00 am to 12:00 pm)
Have you ever pictured yourself writing or directing the next great movie? How about handling the camera that introduces the next award-winning actor? Or being that actor? Students in this class produce, script, film, and edit a movie with plot twists, suspense, and more! This workshop introduces students to the basics of filming, storyboarding, editing, and movie publishing with Windows MovieMaker, while exploring the genre of mystery. Cameras and computers with necessary software were available for student use during class thanks to the Center for Digital Expression. “Making Movies” was a class intended for aspiring movie makers entering or leaving grades 6-11.
